While I had my truck on the lift at work replacing my dead TPMS sensor after 4 months, I decided to remove the stupid front air dam these trucks get from the factory.
Two bolts and the thing more or less falls out. Now the truck looks both visually taller, and when viewed from the front, wider. Good use of 2 minutes of my time for sure.

That is much nicer! We did that to a friend’s brand new Escalade. She couldn’t get in and out of here garage without scraping it

I wonder if your mileage will take any hit. Will be interesting. I did the same thing with an 89. I didn’t see any difference.

Those air dams are a pain in the ass. Shits lower than a miata bumper. Always scraping it on curbs and such, and our truck is a Z71 fancy off road thingy.

Have you noticed any change in wind noise when at speed?

Looks much better. All newer trucks look better without the plastic air dams

I did the same on my 06 and I didn’t notice any change in terms of wind noise at all.
